When prompted, sign in to Volume One with the same Google account. Select the books ChatGPT may access, review the read and save permissions, and allow attached photos if you want to add them.
Start a new ChatGPT Work conversation on the web, type @ and choose Volume One. Name the book and date, add your words and attach a photo if you like. Review the details before approving a save.
Open Volume One after its next cloud sync to see what was kept and where it landed in the book.
The connection saves new words and photos to the books you select. Use the website for page design, existing edits, voice notes and family sharing.
Saving a memory doesn’t publish a family link or place a print order. ChatGPT’s approval prompts follow your account settings. Check the details, especially the date and book, before a save.
You can disconnect in Volume One under Account → Connected plugins. Your saved memories stay in your book.
How Volume One handles your memoriesThe ChatGPT connection is a private preview for approved test accounts. It is not publicly listed or enabled for production books yet. Contact support@volumeone.app to ask about access. You can keep using the regular Volume One web app while the connection is being tested.
The preview accepts still JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF photos: up to three per request, each at most 20 MB and 40 megapixels. Animated images and HEIC aren’t supported; convert HEIC to JPEG first. Attach the files to your ChatGPT message, then name the book, date and any caption you want to keep.
Ask ChatGPT to keep your exact words, and review the proposed date, book, caption and text before approving a save. A save adds a memory; it does not publish a family link or order a printed book. If a memory cannot fit on a page, the result tells you whether it was kept in Memories only.
This preview adds new text and photos and reads saved memories. Use Volume One on the web to create a book, edit existing memories, design the pages and covers, record voice notes, or manage family sharing.
You choose which cloud-saved books to connect and review the permissions for reading books and memories, saving memories and keeping attached photos. Unselected books are not available through this connection. Anything you choose to send to ChatGPT is also handled under your ChatGPT account’s settings and OpenAI’s policies.
In the Volume One environment you connected, open Account, then Connected plugins, and choose Disconnect. This stops future access through that connection and keeps memories already saved. You can also remove the plugin in ChatGPT; use Volume One’s Disconnect control to revoke its book access.
